You know things just aren’t the same anymore when the Finnish are required to “bring it” to the Eurovision Song Contest…
All Sampson seems to be bringing is a half-arsed love-song to statutory rape and pro-ASBO, happy-slapping apologist nonsense with the insight and complexity of “Because We Want To” by Billy Piper, who, you know, was at least a teenager at the time.
But Lordi BRING THE ROCK! with the audio-visual equivalent of what would happen if the scarier fantasies of a disposessed high-school student actually came true… albeit in a place with fewer guns than the US. Plus, you know, perky cheerleader zombies, and a cute, pouty alt-chick who gets to sex it up in the end.
