The wonderful try^ad, with whom I find myself suddenly having a MySpace love affair, have just released a new single, totally free to download for all you lucky bastards out there. I’ve been a big fan for a while now, and I strongly recommend you go seek out their music, so you can enjoy the beautiful, trip-hoppy soundscaping of these audio tricksters for yourselves.

I’m listening to the single now, and it’s a thing of beauty… somewhere between ambient trance and trip-hop, something like where Moby was going with Play, if he’d gone more classical and less downtrodden poor and depressed.

If you can afford to donate money for their stuff, please do that as well. The fact that they’re not demanding money doesn’t mean they don’t deserve it…

(try^ad are believers in music being free of ridiculous restrictive rights, as I am, but go one step further and have thus far, made all of their music freely available on creative commons licenses.)

I love Moby by the way… and loved Play. He’s a very serious man, but I find it easier to trust flashes of humour from the totally serious… he was on James Kochalka‘s Sleighride To Heck, dontchaknow.
