So, anyway, Thursdays are going to be my Seven Days/Top Three days. Which means that I’m going to share three songs that have been sticking in my head for the last seven days.
Now, there’s an issue here. Interestingly, it’s not that my music taste is probably a bit too bad to be sharing it on a regular basis.
It’s about presentation. I have a perfectly nice audio player plugin for this blog, and I don’t have a problem hosting the audio files, but there is, of course, an issue of whether or not that is appropriate.
On the other hand, I’d love to just use embedded YouTube videos, but thanks to corporate wankery, there is a strong possibility that a video that I embed here may not be playable in other countries.
I suspect that the aim of this retarded licensing move was not to push bloggers to copyright violation, but it doesn’t take a genius to realise that that is what is probably going to happen. Certainly, I’d rather talk about songs I like, knowing I can get people to listen to them, than provide dead links and musical frustrations…
I think, for now, I’ll probably go with the audio file. But I’d like to know what people think about this, in the comments!
