- @thoughtmecca … heh… possibly. I think I went into more detail when I talked about it at Nixsight, but Twitter is a harsh mistress. #
- You know, the more I think about the most recent Indy film, the more I actually liked it. Hardcore fans are rubbish. #
- As @sulman says, you can gauge the age & how much you should listen to them by which movie they think is best before this one… #
- If they complain the lack of ANYTHING from Last Crusade, you may disregard their nonsense… #
- @steevbishop Yup, agree with @sulman on that, tho BSG never actually became BAD tv. G1 & I finally managed to watch Heroes S2, but S3 bad? #
- @harrymylandIV I didn’t HATE the Tarzan scene, because it was pretty well done – I just didn’t see the point. The prairie dogs were silly… #
- … But only a fraction of what we could have expected, had Lucas got to exert more control, for which I was thankful! @harrmylandIV #
- @laineyw Just read about ur ethics proposal – & yes, happy to mirror the congrats of others. I know how much of a faff these things can be! #
- @steevbishop That was the problem we found with the first half of season 2, too. Not so much TOO MUCH happening, as no confidence of payoff. #
- Oh my gawd, Yahtzee actually seemed to like Fallout 3! http://is.gd/8aPo Some genius comedy in there, too… Almost makes me want the game! #
- Kaninhoppning – Bunny Show Jumping – http://is.gd/8giX – how do they avoid using the term “Bunny Hopping”? #
- http://is.gd/6EIG – So, uh… there’s maybe a cure for AIDs now? & nobody told me? What else are you all keeping from me? #
- I love Pictures For Sad Children, but sometimes the individual strips can have diminished returns. Dig this story, tho: http://is.gd/8gv7 #
- @idsharman Were my lost pens there? Oh, also, if you run a microwave inside a freezer, does it create a black hole? #
- @idsharman So that’s where the croaking comes from? It all makes sense, now. Absurd and creepy sense… #
- @idsharman Damn that fucking frog…! T’aint right, I tell you. Pesky stationery thievin’ amphibian…! #
- @idsharman That just ain’t right. What about all the poor monkeys with AIDs? This funding clearly values pen-using humans over sick monkeys. #
- @idsharman … You know it should be easy to come up with something after that, but … I got nothing. #
- @idsharman That was a good catch. It was where I was heading, before I realised that I kinda like monkeys. My brain went somewhere else… #
- @idsharman … by which I mean MONKEYWORLD! #
- @BeaucoupKevin Oh, baby, do you know what that’s worth? & yeah, my favourite Go-Go is whichever one played Joan of Arc in Bill & Ted… #

Another Way To Breathe: On The Disir
HEAVY SPOILERS FOR JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY 638
I was asked on my Formspring “Was that always the real origin of your Disir, or something that evolved for EXILED?”. To which I responded….
When I created the Disir back in SIEGE: LOKI and NEW MUTANTS 11, I knew the origin I gave wasn’t the…
Kieron Gillen is killing it on Journey Into Mystery. It’s process like this that’s the reason why. Inspiring.

Peach for godsgirls

Illustration by Victo Ngai for the fiction “Sweet Dreams” by Peter Stamm
“She went to the bathroom, filled the tub, and got undressed. The mirror misted over with condensation, and the smell of pine needles filled the air. She turned off the water, and the apartment suddenly seemed very quiet. Then she heard footsteps, and Simon’s voice through the half-open door. He said, I’ll just go downstairs for the bottle of wine. I thought you’d gone already, said Lara, and she poked her head through the crack, and he kissed her on the lips and tried to barge the door open, but she held it shut. They kissed again. See you soon, said Lara. It was odd, she still felt a little ashamed in front of him.”

This scene is one of my earliest comic memories. It was the first point at which I saw a comic character making a mistake, which meant it was probably the first time I really processed them properly as characters and human.
Spider-man has webbed up a doorway to stop a criminal escaping, but then realises that the criminal is escaping out of the window instead, and in his hurry to catch them he forgets his own webbing.
It seems gloriously ridiculous out of context, but if memory serves it was part of a pretty intense and dramatic story featuring Alex Summers (Havok).
(This was me, by the way.)
