The Kleptones are a mash-up outfit from Brighton, who did the music – the video was done by a fan.
It might specifically have been done for YouTube, or possibly for showing at gigs and mash-up themed club nights, but I think it’s safe to say that they didn’t get clearance for the videos. Or the songs!
And yes, I know that strictly speaking mash-ups are exactly what Jive Bunny used to do. But it’s just not the same, dammit! I don’t know how it isn’t, it just isn’t.
I don’t know, it’s a bit of a run-of-the-mill outing from The Kleptones – who normally do sprawling mash-up concept albums – but I always love a bit of well synched-up dance footage. It’s like a pop-song-long montage!
Ok, now every time I describe it, it sounds lame. Bugger.
