I suspected as much… not ENTIRELY sure Girl One would be up for that at ours, anyway…! in reply to SorenLorensen # - Was unconvinced by the results of the Mafia Vs Yakuza Deadliest Warrior, that we watched tonight. Some great weaponry on display, mind… #
- …& fact that on each team of experts, they had a scary looking old dude who was apparently once a member of their organisation? Awesome! #
- (Everyone saw the Onion/Apple thing a couple of days ago, right? The target is too easy, but the joke made me smirk…: http://bit.ly/wAARd) #
- @Sulman Is our workplace rife with the disease, in my absence? in reply to Sulman #
- @Sulman We… but we work… ah, I see. You've had cases in-office? Hm. One colleagues announced gleefully that her sister had it… in reply to Sulman #
- @Sulman …but later had to admit that it was just a cold. Mind, this might all have changed in my week off…! #
- RT @BarbieHead: We are in the car, comparing Smurf and Doozer industry. As far as we can tell, the Smurf village actually had no industry. #
- …Those lazy smurf bastards. #
- @BarbieHead An extremely uncomfortable addition to the porn industry? in reply to BarbieHead #
- 1st Nixsight post in ages, it's long overdue, & it's books: Generation Kill, Other People & Bad Things – http://bit.ly/xW0MJ #
- Started reading The Road this week, and it's a lovely piece of writing, but a slightly chewy piece of reading. Persevering, though. #
- @ememess Just wrote up my reaction to Bad Things at Nixsight: http://bit.ly/xW0MJ – thought you'd like a read. Mind, you've heard it before! in reply to ememess #

HEAVY SPOILERS FOR JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY 638
I was asked on my Formspring “Was that always the real origin of your Disir, or something that evolved for EXILED?”. To which I responded….
When I created the Disir back in SIEGE: LOKI and NEW MUTANTS 11, I knew the origin I gave wasn’t the…
Kieron Gillen is killing it on Journey Into Mystery. It’s process like this that’s the reason why. Inspiring.

Peach for godsgirls

Illustration by Victo Ngai for the fiction “Sweet Dreams” by Peter Stamm
“She went to the bathroom, filled the tub, and got undressed. The mirror misted over with condensation, and the smell of pine needles filled the air. She turned off the water, and the apartment suddenly seemed very quiet. Then she heard footsteps, and Simon’s voice through the half-open door. He said, I’ll just go downstairs for the bottle of wine. I thought you’d gone already, said Lara, and she poked her head through the crack, and he kissed her on the lips and tried to barge the door open, but she held it shut. They kissed again. See you soon, said Lara. It was odd, she still felt a little ashamed in front of him.”

This scene is one of my earliest comic memories. It was the first point at which I saw a comic character making a mistake, which meant it was probably the first time I really processed them properly as characters and human.
Spider-man has webbed up a doorway to stop a criminal escaping, but then realises that the criminal is escaping out of the window instead, and in his hurry to catch them he forgets his own webbing.
It seems gloriously ridiculous out of context, but if memory serves it was part of a pretty intense and dramatic story featuring Alex Summers (Havok).
(This was me, by the way.)
