- @SorenLorensen Oh dear. Did we give it to each other, or just get it from @belle_lulu? in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @belle_lulu Um… there were shared spoons, and bowls, and needles. Except the needles… in reply to belle_lulu #
- @belle_lulu Also, there was all that debauched sexing. You remember that, right? in reply to belle_lulu #
- RT @DimitriMOMB: http://bit.ly/44bt3 have added our podcast to lybsyn, new episode on Thursday, comments gratefully received!! #
- @SorenLorensen Um… just walked home… not even ENTIRELY sure I was doing any innuendoing. SO hard to tell, these days! #
- 28 Days Later in 60 seconds… just awesome. http://bit.ly/35pM4b #
- @SorenLorensen Soap opera daze, all the way, huh? #
- @SorenLorensen Adrian Chiles! Yay! He is the most intelligent potato ever! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen Though he is always forced to play second fiddle to King Edward, because he is royalty. in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @McKelvie Because otherwise we'd have to watch frustrated gay people on TV, and that would make us sad. in reply to McKelvie #
- @McKelvie It bothers me slightly more when the only two black members of a cast end up together. in reply to McKelvie #
- @Groonk Yeah… they stretched the rule pretty much as far as it can go. Did they even really KNOW each other that well at the time? in reply to Groonk #
- @SorenLorensen You like Halo? in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @Groonk Definitely my opinion. Having said that, wasn't it during that run that he & Storm got together… in reply to Groonk #
- @SorenLorensen Yeah… Master Chef is the main character… in reply to SorenLorensen #
- FB not FP! #
- Flash Forward has a pretty damn good cast for a TV show. Not a bad script/production at the 10 minute mark, either. #
- Flash Forward just delivered a kick-ass panning long disaster shot. Oh, yeah, what the fuck, helicopter? #
- "I dreamt there were no more good days." That is DEFINITELY going to be in the "previously on", like, every episode. #
- WTF Kangaroo. #
- Oh noes… @giagia not well. I'm not well. @SorenLorenson not well. We all think it's innocent. Zombie holocaust! ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST! #
- Oh no, John Cho! #
- @Groonk Kangaroos are evil motherfuckers. in reply to Groonk #
- Our internet is down! As one office wag put it, we can't do anything except work. Oh my god! #
- @Sulman OH GOD I HATE YOU. What you just said is both upsetting to me personally, & oddly hilarious… in reply to Sulman #
- @SorenLorensen I hope you're happy… I have gone to work while feeling gross, SOLELY because you challenged my masculinity on the subject! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @Sulman Ultimately, it was ALWAYS going to be one of your lot fidgetting around with that bloody internet box. in reply to Sulman #
- http://is.gd/3MfYr – Pepsi To Cease Advertising – The Onion aims for humour, hits it, but inadvertently just makes me feel sad at same time. #
- @mrtonylee Hah, yeah, I chuckled at that too…! There's one on the front page of The Onion, but there's that MASSIVE Coke Zero one too… in reply to mrtonylee #
- But have you got to the point where there's a regional voice-over whenever you do anything, @Emmavieceli? #
- The important question I have to ask right now, @kidbritishmusic, is "Is she cute?" Who, you ask? Um, I dunno, the daughter? The mum? #
- @james__buckley Did you ever read "253"? Very Tube-centric. http://is.gd/3Mi2O in reply to james__buckley #
- @Emmavieceli Ha! She shoots, she scores… Initially tried to come up with example, COMPLETELY drew a blank. I am lousy internet wag! in reply to Emmavieceli #
- "Tweet 14948… @nixsight is at his desk. Despite tight rations & diet, he is compulsively eating salted pumpkin seeds." (@Emmavieceli) #
- @georgelondon Yeah… I enjoy consumerism, but I don't think, by definition, that it requires greed. That article highlighted it! in reply to georgelondon #
- @SorenLorensen Aww, sweetie…! Sorry you're not in a position to just go back to bed! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- "Tweet 14951… @nixsight is wearing brand new trainers. They pinch a little at the back. He admires them, wincing." #
- @SorenLorensen When the guy comes round to inspect our boiler, we chat about his son, who is studying Football in the US… in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen I… You know me well enough by now that I don't need to explain how ludicrous that conversation ends up being, right? in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen I don't know very much about football, is my point. in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @richjohnston Good point, actually. Hadn't occurred to me that he'd done it deliberately. Also… hang on… in reply to richjohnston #
- I'm working on the assumption that we've only seen around a half-dozen flash-forwards out of around 6 billion… @McKelvie @richjohnston #
- @McKelvie True… the flashes were quite delirious, mind. Also, of ones we saw, most were mid-charged-emotional activity… in reply to McKelvie #
- So I'm wondering if part of the THING with FlashForward isn't going to be "doesn't matter WHAT you plan, life intervenes". @McKelvie #
- At least I hope so, because otherwise they're missing a trick. First episode went well, though, I thought. @McKelvie #
- @SorenLorensen It's a new show – 1st episode was last night. EVERYONE on planet blacks out for 2 minutes, & sees a vision of 6 months time. in reply to SorenLorensen #
- "Tweet 14961 – @nixsight is complaining that his tongue is disintegrating from eating salty pumpkin seeds. He reaches for another handful." #
- @McKelvie I think the problem is that we're kind of used to seeing these lovely big conceptual shows get vaguely frittered away, aren't we? in reply to McKelvie #
- @Alfie I didn't mind the dialogue in Heroes nearly as much as I did the just aimless yet circular, awful plotting. in reply to Alfie #
- @Alfie Didn't find Jo Fiennes too upsetting… Reminded me a LOT of Colin Cunningham from JPod, actually. & oddly fond of Sonya Walger… in reply to Alfie #
- I think I'm a bit in love with John Cho's face, actually. #
- @kidbritishmusic Heh… I know… it's sort of a pavlovian response thing, whenever there's a story with a girl in it. in reply to kidbritishmusic #
- @SorenLorensen Well, they're thinking they need at least three… in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @McKelvie Was thinking Heroes & BSG but yeah, that works too…! & OH MY GOD, the same amount of retarded nonsense being talked on forums… in reply to McKelvie #
- FFS FlashForward Forum people… #
- In order of how irritable they make me, the answers to some of those retarded questions you FlashForward Forum people asked: #
- The agent SAID footage was from webcams, security cams, etc. In answer to your question: Who recorded that footage? I answer You're a cunt. #
- How did kid who lived in the world where everyone just had flash of future know the name of woman he had never met? Because you're a twat… #
- An animal? Somewhere where you wouldn't expect it? In a show that references Lost & owes something to Twelve Monkeys? OMFG MUST BE ALIENS..! #
- …or possibly, also, maybe, it was in captivity somewhere & got released during event? Oh, also, retard! #
- Oh & btw, that shared cast member that you're all citing as 1 of reasons why this show might be tied into Lost? Is main reason why it isn't. #
- …If you're going to create spin-off series, why use an actress to play a character in one who already PLAYS a prominent one in other? #
- BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T, THAT'S WHY! I know it's fun to theorise, but just the TINIEST application of Occam's Razor, helps, here, people… #
- @danwellman Did you watch it? There was PLENTY of intrigue in it, without refusing to take what we ACTUALLY see at face value. SCHMUCKS! in reply to danwellman #
- @McKelvie I may have just had a FlashForward related breakdown in my timeline. #
- @Sulman My tongue hurts…
in reply to Sulman # - @danwellman Yup… I use it quite a lot, but mainly only for uh… whichever FTP software it has on it. I work on same 3 pcs all time tho… in reply to danwellman #
- @danwellman …so find I've got most software that I need on whichever machine I'm using. But yeah, Portableapps is nice. in reply to danwellman #
- @sarahditum Not sure all commenters do! More than once I've seen local paper site commenters refer to their comments as their blogs! in reply to sarahditum #
- @danwellman Oh, uh… in reply to danwellman #
- SPOILER WARNING for my previous several Tweets about FlashForward… sorry, was trying to be careful, but may have forgot. #
- @GeekSyndicate You COULD mention the 1st MOMBComics podcast from last week – I'm on it! It was a pilot effort, but lots of fun… in reply to GeekSyndicate #
- @Alfie It had it's moments early on, but I lost interest in season 2. in reply to Alfie #
- Oh, @geeksyndicate, you probably caught this, but Primeval no longer axed? http://is.gd/3Mqn1 #
- The MOMB Podcast is here: http://is.gd/3Mw9b – listen to the clumsy pilot episode, in time for Thursday's awkward 2nd outing! @GeekSyndicate #
- …I probably need to work on my PR skills, huh? Seriously, though, that 1st MOMB Podcast is awesome fun!: http://is.gd/3Mw9b #
- @sarahditum True enough. Though some do seem to use comments more as a platform for their own HILARIOUS INSIGHTS than as response to story! in reply to sarahditum #
- @sarahditum …& in the process form similar audiences/relationships as some bloggers do with their readers… in reply to sarahditum #
- @sarahditum I admit, my tweet was more a response to your tweet than the post it linked to… I went off on a tangent almost immediately.
in reply to sarahditum # - @Alfie So at least VAGUELY worth persisting through S3, if only to continue the comfortable feeling of fan-frustration? in reply to Alfie #
- @danwellman I thought it was pretty well handled, overall, yeah… There were some pretty awesome moments of spectacle, too. Fans are dumb. in reply to danwellman #
- @SorenLorensen Allegedly Chicken Soup cures all ills. Scrofulous, the AIDs, colds, drug addiction… #
- @GeekSyndicate Oh, nice… It IS good news, innit? It's a very fun series indeed. #
- @SorenLorensen To see the world & find adventure? Oh, you mean yesterday, not, you know, originally? in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen Aha! You obviously just didn't eat enough of it. Actually… hmm… in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen …Just remembered that jelly from other night has made me suspect my previous assumption of your culinary awesomeness… in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen …Is it possible that it wasn't chicken? Or soup? Handy gauge: Did it have chopped nuts in? Or cauliflower? in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen Cups of tea kind of count. Are you in bed? You should be in bed…! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- It's… Look, @RedMummy & @SorenLorensen, it wasn't the TASTE of the jelly that was in question, but the un-jellyness of it. It TASTED ace! #
- @SorenLorensen I actually really liked the G & T one… the vodka had bits in that made me feel a bit leuch… LEUUCH. Leuch. in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @RedMummy For GODS SAKE, WOMAN! You're, like, RIGHT round the corner… can't you go round & MAKE her some? NOW? in reply to RedMummy #
- @SorenLorensen Um… that doesn't sound like soup… It sounds more like… Um… something leuchy. LEUCH! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @RedMummy Honestly, I didn't see the Calpol taste in it… it was very much a g & t or vodka taste, with a sexy consistency… in reply to RedMummy #
- @RedMummy …& by sexy I mean "Product of sex-making", not "inciteful to sex-making". in reply to RedMummy #
- @SorenLorensen Actually, you know, just some honey & lemon and hot water always makes me feel better. Dammit, why aren't I at home? in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @RedMummy NUHUH! Wrongo! WRONG! (I think, maybe) in reply to RedMummy #
- @SorenLorensen I weep openly, yes. I weep for all the poor little limes… in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen AHAHAHA! All they want is to have a good lime! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen It's phonetically descriptive of noise I'm thinking of. Not "Yuck, tastes bad" – "Mm, tastes good but BITS under TONGUE!" in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen The same thing happens with those husky bits in popcorn. in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen I was far too ready to just not go to work to actually prepare healthy stuffs to bring with. I'm RUBBISH. in reply to SorenLorensen #
- OH MY GOD I AM IN A CONVERSATION WITH WOMENS WHO CAN WRITE A TREAT BUT NOT UNDERSTAND A SIMILE/METAPHOR! GAH! #
- @RedMummy Not PRODUCT of Sex-making… Like A product of sex-making… @belle_lulu has got it! in reply to RedMummy #
- I mean – & hope @SorenLorensen understands – that the alcohol jelly tasted lovely but was roughly consistency of ejaculate. BOWLS OF IT. #
- WACKY BUKKAKE! #
- @RedMummy The bit where you're ALL WRONG! And now I want chicken soup. in reply to RedMummy #
- & now I want chicken soup. My gran makes this stuff, Avgo… Avvo… Eggy Lemon soup, I call it. I don't know how to make it, but want it… #
- …@ellesergi, @soullastylianou, do YOU know how to make Avgo… avvo… FUCK! Eggy lemony soup? #
- @SorenLorensen I… actually don't know what she's talking about! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen DM or that thrice deleted sentence didn't happen… in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen Girl One really DOES hope we have a family of daughters. MUST introduce her to @belle_lulu's girls, actually. in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @SorenLorensen Someone said when you have a son, you only have to worry about 1 cock – have a girl & you have to worry about ALL of them! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- @RedMummy Bingo! Exactly! Love Juice Jelly! Wacky Bukkake n' Tang! Lumpy Citrus Genital Soup! in reply to RedMummy #
- @belle_lulu Never did, never shall… Not tripping, neither. Tired, & feeling yucky, & haven't you noticed that I'm ALWAYS like this? in reply to belle_lulu #
- @belle_lulu (I'm not sure G1 sees it that way…) in reply to belle_lulu #
- @bloggerheads She had a miscarriage live on his radio show? in reply to bloggerheads #
- @SorenLorensen Yes… YES! That's exactly what I was trying to say! in reply to SorenLorensen #
- Oh, gosh… there is an ongoing conversation that I have got VERY far behind, here, with @RedMummy, @belle_lulu & @SorenLorensen… #
- @RedMummy Re: Could Josh be their Uncle. I don't know. My family is huge, so I suppose anything's possible in that confused family tree… in reply to RedMummy #
- @RedMummy It's more likely that you're lot are tangled up in MY family bush than in Girl One's shrubbery. in reply to RedMummy #
- @belle_lulu No, so that she knows how it works out, practically. Your girls are stupidly cute. Older one is creative like I want mine to be. in reply to belle_lulu #
- @belle_lulu Of course, I'll be proud of them however they turn out but it'll be better if they're not totally shit, right? in reply to belle_lulu #
- 'Course, that statement I made about parents of daughters having to worry about ALL the cocks also applies to gay sons. Wasn't v.inclusive. #
- @CaminoHolidays Sorry, didn't see your reply in my timeline. Hadn't intended to behave in exclusive manner. Though think it's fair to say… in reply to CaminoHolidays #
- @CaminoHolidays If the REST of someone's timeline is relatively grammar, punctuation or syntax consistent, the block-caps one may be irony. in reply to CaminoHolidays #
- @belle_lulu I know… They won't be totally shit. I will BEAT IT OUT OF THEM! Uh… no, I won't. I will nurture them in my bosom. in reply to belle_lulu #
- @CaminoHolidays Having said that, I did JUST use "you're" when I meant "your", so I should probably be whipped. in reply to CaminoHolidays #
- I just got Internetted, by the way. My syntax was criticised by someone. But they spelled it "sintax". Actually, IS there a "Sin Tax"? #
- @Sulman Oh dear… I think I may be overdue a payment…! in reply to Sulman #
- God, I love You Look Nice Today! http://is.gd/3MDYz #
- @Chris_TOMP Heh… my biggest language pet peeve is when people complain about other people's language usage…
in reply to Chris_TOMP # - @georgelondon Do YOU know how to make it? But you're a boy…! in reply to georgelondon #
- @georgelondon No, I went from chicken soup to avgolemoni. If I'd been talking drachana, THAT would have been because of ejaculate. in reply to georgelondon #
- @georgelondon Oooh… may nab that recipe off you. Actually, that Chinese soup – uh… egg? – is consistency of ejaculate & DELICIOUS! in reply to georgelondon #
- @belle_lulu Are you sure? in reply to belle_lulu #
- @belle_lulu It's not THAT bad… & don't worry… you should know that it won't be seen by anybody who wasn't there. G1 hasn't even seen it! in reply to belle_lulu #
- …Yet. #
- @georgelondon Heh… ooh, nice idea… though I'd probably lose momentum after the three or four things I remember…! in reply to georgelondon #
- Out of interest, what does everybody else call the folder on their PC with all the porn in? I call mine "The Internet"… #
- @CaminoHolidays Hah… I prefer not to be corrected, but yeah, light whipping for fun. in reply to CaminoHolidays #
- @Mykx Teehee! in reply to Mykx #
- @georgelondon Snarf! in reply to georgelondon #
- @mrtonylee Alan Partridge… in reply to mrtonylee #
- @mrtonylee Actually, you know, I probably know this. Got a big book about ALL different angels at home, prep for a comic I've not written. in reply to mrtonylee #
- @CaminoHolidays Hah! Tragically, that's probably all I've got. I am ALL TALK! in reply to CaminoHolidays #
- @belle_lulu It's a Real file… stupid phone uses Real, so you may need Real Alternative – which is safer than Real Player. in reply to belle_lulu #
- @belle_lulu Best bet is to download it to your computer, as well, if you haven't. Or I could put it up on YouTube for you? in reply to belle_lulu #
- Oh my god, Adam & Joe downloaded! #
- @belle_lulu Tehre was more immediately afterward, where I essentially made the joke that you're suggesting… I AM FUNNY! in reply to belle_lulu #
- @belle_lulu Also, I needed a wee! NOT love wee. in reply to belle_lulu #
- @SoullaStylianou People were talking about Chicken soup and it made me nostalgic for eggylemony. in reply to SoullaStylianou #
- @BeaucoupKevin You know, that baby stands a MUCH better chance at life if it isn't allowed to set the timetable for it's life right now… in reply to BeaucoupKevin #
- Babies don't know how to schedule shit. They are practically retarded in this area. It's what they need parent brains for. @BeaucoupKevin #
- @SorenLorensen Hah! Open invite, huh?
in reply to SorenLorensen # - OH MY GOD! I am TOTALLY being given a recipe for avgolemoni by DM… Awesome! Thanks, @SoullaStylianou… #
- @CaminoHolidays No, not American. I use the term because I choose to use the term, but I don't see it as insulting, I see it as descriptive. in reply to CaminoHolidays #
- @CaminoHolidays One of the beautiful things about Twitter is that nobody but NOBODY is forced to read anything that offends them. in reply to CaminoHolidays #
- @Specsneedaclean There aren't all that many people who live in caves and AREN'T hermits. Unless you count Osama Bin Laden. Redundancy, dear! in reply to Specsneedaclean #
- @RedMummy It's a chicken stock based egg and lemon soup. It is LOVELY. in reply to RedMummy #
- They need to create a bot that picks up on self-righteous, sanctimonious & unwelcome criticism on Twitter. That would be a fun follow. #
- …Also, a bot that recognises irony. That would be useful. Mind, it'd be hard to program a bot when most HUMANS can't pick it up. #
- @RedMummy It wouldn't REALLY be a fun follow. It would be a pain in the arse. Just like the initial tweets it retweeted. in reply to RedMummy #
- @SoullaStylianou YAY I GOT IT! Thankyou! in reply to SoullaStylianou #
- @idsharman bloody hell… @rivkajacobs is a positive influence on you indeed…! in reply to idsharman #
- @Sulman Nobody important! in reply to Sulman #
- @Sulman Just another drive-by, I reckon. Not a known quantity! in reply to Sulman #
- @belle_lulu Where did you follow him? in reply to belle_lulu #
- @belle_lulu No, I meant… I already follow him I think. I meant where did you follow him … it was a pun…? in reply to belle_lulu #

When I created the Disir back in SIEGE: LOKI and NEW MUTANTS 11, I knew the origin I gave wasn’t the…
Kieron Gillen is killing it on Journey Into Mystery. It’s process like this that’s the reason why. Inspiring.

Peach for godsgirls

Illustration by Victo Ngai for the fiction “Sweet Dreams” by Peter Stamm
“She went to the bathroom, filled the tub, and got undressed. The mirror misted over with condensation, and the smell of pine needles filled the air. She turned off the water, and the apartment suddenly seemed very quiet. Then she heard footsteps, and Simon’s voice through the half-open door. He said, I’ll just go downstairs for the bottle of wine. I thought you’d gone already, said Lara, and she poked her head through the crack, and he kissed her on the lips and tried to barge the door open, but she held it shut. They kissed again. See you soon, said Lara. It was odd, she still felt a little ashamed in front of him.”

This scene is one of my earliest comic memories. It was the first point at which I saw a comic character making a mistake, which meant it was probably the first time I really processed them properly as characters and human.
Spider-man has webbed up a doorway to stop a criminal escaping, but then realises that the criminal is escaping out of the window instead, and in his hurry to catch them he forgets his own webbing.
It seems gloriously ridiculous out of context, but if memory serves it was part of a pretty intense and dramatic story featuring Alex Summers (Havok).
(This was me, by the way.)
